Born and bred in Australia, we are a group of blokes who moved halfway across the world to have a crack at real estate investing in America. Some of us left perfectly good careers to make the entrepreneurial leap. Risk is part of our Down Under DNA. As Aussies, we are raised with the mind-set that the world is your oyster, and you should invest in profitable real estate. (It’s practically a national sport!)
In America, a sense of security is ingrained in the culture. Select a career. Go to college. Get a J-O-B. Work till you’re sixty-five and retire with a nest egg of cash you have saved—hoping it will be enough to last you till you die. Sound familiar?
Well, our story is a bit different. We threw that career guidebook out the window a long time ago and left everything we knew behind in Australia to give our pursuit of financial freedom a crack here in America. For the average American, this sounds apeshit. A bunch of flaming galahs. The reality is, Americans don’t have to travel the 10,000 miles from Australia to the United States to capitalize on the incredible opportunities.
